Campus administrators from Braswell, Denton, Guyer and Ryan high schools have announced the top graduates for the Class of 2018, who will be recognized alongside their classmates during graduation ceremonies on Thursday, May 24 and Friday, May 25.
Mrs. Emily McLarty, principal of Adkins Elementary, has been named the new principal of Borman Elementary. Mrs. McLarty brings eight years of experience as an elementary principal – all within Denton ISD – to her new position.
The Denton ISD Board of Trustees voted unanimously to call a $750.5 million bond election to be held on May 5, 2018. The bond addresses student enrollment growth, renovations to facilities, equity, infrastructure, security systems, career & technical education and extracurricular activities.
The Siddie Joe Johnson Award is bestowed upon a public or school librarian in recognition of outstanding achievement in children’s library service. Ms. O’Rear will be presented with her award at the TLA Conference in Dallas on April 5.
