About Our School

  • Evers Park Elementary was built in 1985 and has received two additions or renovations since it opened, most recently in 2013. The school is named for Evers Park, the City of Denton’s 29-acre park, which borders the school on the east and south sides.

Evers Park Elementary is one of Denton ISD’s most culturally diverse schools and builds on that with a welcoming and nurturing environment for students and their families. The school is enlarging its footprint in its neighborhood with a new community garden, a wall that recognizes military service from student family members and several community outreach events during the school year.

Academics are emphasized in and out of the classroom with students participating in wide range of educational endeavors from the Duke University Talent Identification Program to partnering with local community members in a mentorship program. There is also access to the CIS Afterschool program, which offers homework assistance and student enrichment after school to qualifying students.

Evers Park students have a number of opportunities to showcase their talents as well through participation in numerous academic and extracurricular clubs, choir and orchestra. And the location next to a city park often allows for kickball tournaments and fun outings that are a short walk way.
