Bell Elementary is one of the easternmost schools in Denton Independent School District, primarily serving families in the South Paloma Creek community. The school is named after longtime Denton community member Catherine Bell, who was instrumental in the desegregation of Denton schools in the 1960s, breaking down racial barriers in the community.
The school is located in the town of Little Elm, next to Braswell High School. It opened in August 2016 for the 2016-17 school year.
The event is geared for students and families residing in the eastern portion of Denton ISD to get re-connected in a fun-filled atmosphere with school staff, administrators and local businesses before the first day of school.
