Nestled on the edge of Denton’s Historical District, it exemplifies a true campus atmosphere – similar to that of a community college.

Calhoun, an International Baccalaureate World School, is a major part of the district’s commitment to IB education. The staff at Calhoun has a special energy targeted toward young teens because they have great expectations for every student to become an IB graduate.

  • Intra-District Transfer Application Available: If your middle or high school student wishes to attend a campus that he or she is not zoned for, it is necessary to fill out the intra-district transfer form. The PDF file to apply for an intra-district transfer for the 2016-17 school year is located here. More information regarding transfers can be found on the Student Support Services website.

  • Tax Rate Update: Denton Independent School District adopted a tax rate for the 2016-17 school year that will raise more taxes for maintenance and operations than last year's rate. The tax rate will effectively be raised by 8.063% and will raise taxes for maintenance and operations on a $100,000 home by approximately $77.59.
