Philosophy

The registered nurses of Denton ISD Health Services believe that a healthy child in a safe and healthy environment is the best learner, and that healthy employees are the foundation for excellence in the classroom.

Our mission is:

v    to support student success, helping each person we touch reach their maximum health potential by fully implementing the nursing process in the school setting

·        timely and accurate nursing assessment

·        intervention that is appropriate and

·        evaluation and referral for our students, their families, and our colleagues

v    to contribute diligently to a healthy school environment for all through

·        infection control

·        accident prevention and

·        health promotion/education
