Parents may print out this sample absence note and use it if they wish to document student absences. A hand-written note from the parent will also be accepted. Remember that the school office must receive this documentation within 72 hours of the child's absence. Missed "parts of days" also need to be documented with a note when a child is late to school or picked up before the end of the school day.
