Rising Sixth and Ninth Grade Transition Nights Scheduled


Denton ISD rising sixth and ninth graders will have the opportunity to learn more about their new campuses, clubs, organizations and opportunities at upcoming transition nights.

Rising Ninth Grade Transition Night will be at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 22 in-person at each high school. Rising Sixth Grade Transition Night will be at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 6 in-person at each middle school.

For rising ninth grade students, information on campus programs, clubs, organizations, and other opportunities will be shared. Professional School Counselors will be meeting with eighth grade students to present information on high school courses and assist with developing personal graduation plans in SchooLinks.

For rising sixth grade students, families will learn more about courses available to them, electives, campus clubs and organizations, fine arts programs and more. The Rising Sixth Grade Transition Night provides an opportunity to ease the transition from elementary to middle school.

After the Rising Sixth Grade Transition Night, a presentation with the information shared will be posted for you to view on the Denton ISD Rising Sixth Grade Course Selection website.
