2023 Commencement Information

The University of North Texas Coliseum, 601 North Texas Blvd. in Denton will serve as the host venue for Denton ISD 2023 commencement ceremonies, with the exception of Fred Moore High School, which will be hosted at Ryan High School Fine Arts Center, 5101 E. McKinney St. in Denton. All ceremonies will be live-streamed and their corresponding links will be made available on this page the week of commencement.
Graduating students and their families will receive additional logistical information about the ceremony, such as arrival times and parking, through school communication in the coming weeks. Additionally, a digital version of each commencement program will be available on the website and at each ceremony.

Commencement FAQs

GIFTS FOR GRADUATES
Please refrain from bringing unnecessary items/gifts into the Coliseum. Graduates and families will only reunite after the conclusion of the commencement ceremony. Families and graduates will reconnect on the outside concourse.

RESTRICTED ITEMS
- Graduates may only bring medically necessary items that can be held in their hands throughout the ceremony.
- There will be a Clear Bag Policy in effect.
- There will be no area to store personal items for graduates before, during, or after the ceremony.
- Denton ISD is not responsible for lost, stolen, or confiscated items.
- No firearms, knives, explosives or other weapons.
- No cans, coolers and other containers except in cases of medical need, as certified by a physician.
- No artificial noisemakers, air horns or megaphones may be used.

LOST AND FOUND
Any items left in the stands will be collected by campus staff. For lost and found items, please contact your campus following graduation.

ENTERING THE FACILITY
Graduates will enter the West Tunnel, on North Texas Boulevard. All guests will enter through Gates A, B, D or G, on the concourse level of the Coliseum. Graduates cannot enter until one hour prior to their respective ceremony.
Late arrivals must enter through the North Tunnel.
