Health screenings are an important part of supporting the well-being of our students. These screenings help identify potential health concerns early, ensuring that students are ready to learn and thrive in the classroom.
 
In alignment with Senate Bill 12, Denton ISD now requires parent or guardian consent for students to participate in state-mandated health screenings. This fall, our campus nurses will conduct Hearing, Spinal, Acanthosis Nigricans, and Vision screenings (when appropriate, a vision photo screener may be used) following the guidelines of the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS).
