  • Let's Move Forward Together

The North Texas Adult Education & Literacy program serves thousands of residents in the Denton, Johnson, Erath, Hood, and Somervell counties through academic instruction and skills training to improve their station in life.

Our program provides adult learners with quality programs and services to help them acquire and develop literacy skills leading to a high school equivalency certificate needed to enter college or obtaining sustainable employment, so that they can reach their full potential as family members, productive workers, and responsible citizens.

At North Texas Adult Education & Literacy Program, we are excited to be a part of this journey and invite you to join us. We are very thankful and fortunate to be a department of Denton ISD and have a supportive Board of Trustees, who sincerely understand and appreciate the added value our program provides.

Adult Education serves a critical role in the development of a well-educated and highly skilled workforce. It prepares adults for further academic instruction or training skills that lead to employment and self-sufficiency. We know that it takes time and commitment to accomplish great things in life, and we want to be a part of the change. You are not alone, you have the support of your Instructors, peers, support staff, and all who are a part this program. Let’s tackle this obstacle and Let’s Move Forward Together!
