The purpose of these classes is to provide educational opportunities to underserved populations, empowering individuals with the skills and certifications needed to improve their career prospects and contribute to their communities. These funds are allocated to ensure equitable access to quality education and support for individuals in need of workforce development and occupational skills training. Students in this program are not and will never be financially liable for the cost of their classes, materials, tuition, or any related fees*.

Certified Nurse Aides
Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) play a crucial role in patient care, working in hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and home healthcare settings. Their daily tasks revolve around assisting patients with essential needs and ensuring their comfort and well-being.

Certified Pharmacy Technicians
Pharmacy technicians play a vital role in the healthcare system by assisting pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, managing inventory, and ensuring patients receive the correct prescriptions. They work in a variety of settings, including retail pharmacies, hospitals, long-term care facilities, and mail-order pharmacies. Their responsibilities require a mix of technical knowledge, customer service skills, and attention to detail.

Certified Phlebotomy Technicians
Phlebotomy technicians (phlebotomists) play a critical role in the healthcare system by collecting blood samples for medical testing, blood donations, research, and transfusions. They work in various settings, including hospitals, clinics, diagnostic laboratories, blood donation centers, and even mobile blood drives. Their job requires technical skill, attention to detail, and strong interpersonal abilities.

Certified Translator and Interpreters
Certified translators and interpreters help bridge language gaps in various professional settings, ensuring accurate communication between individuals who speak different languages. In this program, students will become certified in both translation and interpretation for all languages they are fluent in. Translators primarily work with written text, while interpreters focus on spoken or signed communication.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
- MUST live in Denton County, TX
- Be above the age of 18
- NOT have a U.S. college degree
- Be authorized to work in the U.S.

Step 1: INTEREST SURVEY
You MUST fill out this Interest survey: bit.ly/ntaeljobs
- This is not an optional survey
- MUST fill out on your own in English
- Will led you to the next step
- Verifies eligibility and interest

Step 2: REGISTRATION
You need to complete the Interest Survey before attending Registraion. You will be turned away if you have not completed the survey.
- Held on Mondays.
- Arrive early to your appointment. Late arrivals may be turned away.
- Bring a Driver’s license and Social Security card, if available
- If you do not have a state ID, you may bring an alternative form of identification—click here to see acceptable options.
Note: Students may be denied entry based on the absence of a form of identification or other documentation. If you have questions about what you need to bring with you, please call our office at (940) 369-0400.

Step 3: TESTING
You will be taking the TABE Reading test. The TABE test is a federal-standard assessment that tests you on reading
You will then Fill out a Next Step Form. You need to bring this with you to Orientation & NTAEL 101.

Step 4: ORIENTATION
***You need to bring your NEXT STEP form with you***
- Held on Wednesdays
- We will cover:
- Program objectives and information
- Class Curriculum
- You will fill out:
- Student Contract
- Emergency Contact Form
- Photo/ Video Release
Please make sure your instructor signs your Next Step Form before leaving.

Step 5: CPW 101
Main goal: to set our students up for success.
- Bring your NEXT STEP form to class
- Must attend before beginning class
You will also fill out your Individual, Training, Education and Career plan. This form is used to keep track of students' goals and achievements.
Please make sure you give the Instructor your NEXT STEP form before leaving!

Step 6: TRANSITIONS
All classes in the program include a 1-week mandatory onboarding class called Transitions after students complete their enrollment week.
- First week of each program
- Meets Monday through Thursday
- About 4 hours each day
- Prepares Students for their program
- Attendance is REQUIRED at all Transitions classes
- Takes place after Enrollment

Step 7: CLASS
Now you will begin your class. Class times and schedules vary depending on the Career Pathways Training you are taking.
