The principal of Alexander Elementary since 2019, Ms. Luján has 13 years of experience in public education and nearly a decade of administrative experience. Ms. Luján will remain the principal at Alexander Elementary until her replacement is selected.
“It is an honor and privilege to have the opportunity to support our dedicated campus teachers, leaders and various specialized service providers throughout the district,” Ms. Luján said. “I look forward to the essential work for our learning community by meeting the diverse needs of our students in a community that I love."
In her new role, Ms. Luján will coordinate support for students, including special education services, Section 504 accommodations, dyslexia services and the Denton Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS). The MTSS is a campus-wide foundational, evidence-based framework for effectively integrating multiple systems and services to simultaneously address students’ academic achievement, behavior and social-emotional well-being.
