Lisa Hanson, Director
Lisa Hanson, COMS, has been working with individuals with visual impairments for 32 years. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation degree from Stephen F. Austin State University. She majored in Orientation and Mobility (O&M) with a minor in Rehabilitation.
Lisa previously worked at the Ft. Worth Lighthouse for the Blind where she planned and implemented O&M goals with adults with visual impairments.
Lisa is currently enjoying her 29th year as an O&M specialist in Denton ISD. She was on staff at Camp Abilities Brockport for 17 years, and this will be her 10th year as the director of Camp Abilities Texas. Her favorite thing about camp… She has two!1. watching children accomplish goals and overcoming feats they never thought possible. Believe you can Achieve!!

Lily Jagodzinsky, Assistant Director
Lily Jagodzinsky has been working with individuals with disabilities for 12+ years in the adapted sports and recreational activities field. She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Education Teacher Education and a master’s degree in Adapted Physical Education from The College at Brockport in Upstate New York and she loves to help individuals with disabilities stay physically active and healthy.
Lily previously worked at Move United, the adapted sports headquarters of the United States, to plan sporting events and programs and develop inclusive practice resources. She has also managed dozens of cases and services for individuals with developmental disabilities through the Maryland Developmental Disabilities Administration. Lily is a certified gymnastics coach, Adaptive Fitness & Special Needs Fitness Instructor, and specializes in individuals with physical and developmental disabilities.
Lily currently lives near Baltimore, MD and has volunteered at Camp Abilities Brockport since 2013 and this will be her fifth at Camp Abilities Texas. She enjoys coaching gymnastics, laughing with all the kids, and encouraging them to do their best.

Gina Pucci, Sports Specialist Coordinator
Gina Pucci is a certified high school educator in health, P.E., and adapted P.E. for 14 years in Maryland. She is currently an Assistant Principal at North East High School, North East MD. Gina has been involved with Camp Abilities for 20 years in Texas, New York, Oregon, PA, and Florida. She is known for the energy she brings to camp, and you can always find her with a microphone in her hand. Gina was the assistant director of Camp Abilities Brockport in 2004 under the direction of Lauren Leiberman.
Lexi Boettcher, Sports Specialist
Lexi Boettcher attends Alvernia University in Reading, Pa, and plays collegiate field hockey. In May 2025 she will graduate with her bachelor’s degree in early childhood education and special education K-12. She plans to work in Maryland at a public school. In her free time, she loves to work out and go to the beach. She is also a certified Jazzercise instructor. Lexi has been working at Camp Abilities Texas for 4 years. She also volunteered at Camp Abilities Brockport. Her favorite part about camp is when she sees the lightbulb appear in the athletes’ heads when they master a skill.

Landry Hanson, Photographer and Equipment Manager
Landry Hanson has been involved with Camp Abilities for 12 years and is excited to jump into another camp season in 2025! Her favorite memories from Camp Abilities Texas are the music acts at the talent show. Even though this is a sports camp, it is always so fun seeing the athletes showcase their other talents, like playing the piano and singing. When not taking photos and moving equipment at camp, she works as a health coordinator and caregiver for adults with cognitive disabilities in San Marcos, Texas. In her free time, she enjoys paddleboarding on the river and going on bike rides!
Carson Brooke, Equipment Manager
Carson Brooke is a band director at a private middle school in Austin, TX and will be going into his second year of teaching in the Fall of 2025. This will be his second year at CATX as an equipment manager and is so excited to return. His favorite memories from camp are goalball, the seven-person/tandem bike ride, and meeting such kind coaches and athletes.
Kim Brockington, Employment Specialist
Kim Brockington has been an orientation and mobility specialist for 3 years. She found out about the awesome O&M career back in 2016 when she was working as an Intervener for a deafblind student and attended fun O&M lessons with him. In 2019, she was invited to join her student at Camp Abilities for the first time. Kim said it was an amazing experience! Once her student graduated from high school, she became a transition teacher until landing her current role as an O&M specialist in Denton ISD.She joined the Camp Abilities team in 2023 as the employment specialist and looks forward to this camp every summer!
