Counseling & Social Work Department
-
Denton ISD students are served on our campuses by Professional School Counselors who focus on the academic, career and personal/social needs of students. A professional Student Assistance Counselor with critical needs training is also available on each secondary campus and on two of our elementary campuses. Two district Social Workers and three K-12 Career Counselors round out the counseling staff offering direct services at the campus level. The Director of Counseling and Social Work oversees the work of the entire department. She aligns the vision of the department to the Denton ISD mission and focuses the work of the Elementary Counseling Coordinator and the Coordinator of District Social Services so that together they support district staff and campus counselors and social workers. The department also includes two administrative assistants who enable the department to function productively.Let us know how we may help you!
