Classroom Experience
Classroom Experience
Educators work to ensure that student learning in the classroom is relevant, engaging, and applicable to the real world. Students are only exposed to the careers around them and by providing opportunities in the classroom, we provide them with awareness and introduction to new careers and opportunities. Our partners visit our schools and provide that bridge in the following ways:
- Guest Speakers
- Job Fairs
- Mock Interviews
- Mentoring Students
- Demonstrations
- School events

- Internships – Paid and Unpaid
- Employment
- Business Tours
- Business Events and Job Fairs

Advisory Committee
CTE Advisory Committee
Today’s rapidly changing society requires that Denton ISD and our surrounding communities
Serve and work closely together to provide a workforce for that community. Federal and State Laws mandate the creation and use of CTE advisory committees. The CTE Advisory Committee is made up of a number of stakeholders that includes school personnel, parents, and business industry who are needed to:
- Provide an opportunity for discussion among people in education, business and industry
- Focus on how to improve CTE and make the most of the community resources that are available
- Strive to improve the relationships between CTE, business, and the community
- Provide expertise for the program by reviewing curriculum, facilities, budget, student competencies, and student placement in related occupations
- Provide an advocate for the CTE programs throughout the community
This Committee meets at least two meetings a year or more as needed. If you would like to be a part of our advisory committee, please fill out the form.
